A letter to my Blog
Dear Blog,
I have neglected you shamefully and I can only apologize and hope you will forgive me. If it helps, I have also been neglecting my knitting, spinning and housework (but that’s nothing new) thanks to too much work, endless winter viruses and multiple ear infections enjoyed by my children.
I confess too to having been lured away by the siren call of my sewing machine and my new (to me) serger who offer me a quick win with something to show for an afternoon’s work, unlike my no-discernable-progress WIPs which taunt me with their static state. I promise to show you some of my FOs if you will forgive me.
You will also have to overlook my absence for the next week as I am off to visit Oz as my FIL has apparently been busy not having a heart attack and having an entirely unnecessary pacemaker fitted – he would have vetoed the entire procedure had he not been inconveniently unconscious at the time. Now that he is recovered he is determined to express his disapproval and we are taking the children to visit and to enjoy his declarations of perfectly good health before he doesn’t have a stroke over the whole affair.
So I will be back soon. I haven’t forgotten you or my friends who visit. I’ll return shortly and maybe will even get the chance to pick up my needles before falling asleep in the armchair – only I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.
Looking forward to spring,
Eclair
